Weekly Devotions
Devotions are prayed throughout the week. The Rosary is at 7:15am, Tuesday through Saturday. After the 8:00am Mass as follows:
Small groups are the backbone of any great Church, and St. Columbkille is no different. Part of practicing our faith is being stewards of the gifts and resources we’ve been given to serve others and carry the message of Christ.
Deep down, we believe that the whole point of our faith & Church, is to help our people get closer to Christ, overcome spiritual sickness in every form, and then in turn, help others on the Path to leading lives of love and service. Ministries are how we do this.
GET INVOLVED & LIVE YOUR FAITHWe are called to live our faith. We believe that our hands do God’s work, and if we just look around, we’ll see there’s much work to be done.
We are totally convinced that bringing people closer to God involves direct service to those in need. From the material, to the spiritual, God’s work is never done. Learn more about our great work…
AND HOW TO GET INVOLVEDIron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.
-Proberbs 27:17
People need people. In our men’s and women’s groups, we challenge each other to be better…. just better examples of Christians & Catholics. No one reaches God in a vacuum. No single pastor or priest is able to minister to thousands, and so our Groups and Meetings serve as the most effective venue for spiritual healing and growth.
If you need help in any area listed to the right, reach out and we will confidentially connect you with someone that can empathize with your situation. Rebirth is possible for anyone. No one is lost forever.
LET US LOVE YOU BACK TO LIFE
Saint Columbkille was born in Gartan, County of Donegal in Ireland, on December 7th, 521. He was the son of a chief related to several of the princes then reigning in Ireland & Scotland.
During Holy Week of 1993, Bishop John Nevins approached Fr. Charles Sullivan concerning the formation of new Catholic community in the Iona section of Ft. Myers..
St. Columbkille is a Parish filled with amazing people that fully embody the mission of Christ. We want you to meet some of them, so they can inspire you to grow closer to God.
Between our 5 weekend services, daily Mass, our 30+ ministries, you have a lot of options with which to get involved here. Join us for Mass and introduce yourself to our Pastor or one of the many volunteers.
The Church is not without fault – as it is managed and overseen by people – fallible people. Our faith, however, is more than a set of rules. It is a mystery in which God continues to reveal Himself to us and through us. Our job, and the job of every parish, is to give people more opportunities and wisdom to get closer to Christ (and being Christ-like).
